Entry Requirements

• Each candidate for the Certificate in Use of Automatic Indicating System (AIS) Equipment must have skills in navigation or radio equipment.

Purpose: to study the main characteristics, principles of operation and use of AIS equipment for the safety of navigation.

Category of listeners: Persons working or employed on a seagoing vessel, cadets and students of maritime educational organizations, employees of maritime companies and employees of onshore services using AIS equipment in their work.
