Entry Requirements
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old;
- complete an approved training course;
- have at least 6 months of approved ship service
Listener Category
All persons who work or are employed on the ship, who are not passengers.
Target:
formation of students’ knowledge, abilities, skills that meet the standard of competence in initial training on safety on board, specified in Section A-VI / 1, tables: A-VI / 1-1, A-VI / 1-2, A-VI / 1-3, A-VI / 1-4 of the STCW Code
Entrance Requirements for Listeners
All persons working or employed on a seagoing vessel who are not passengers, prior to being assigned duties on board, must receive familiarization and initial safety training or instruction in accordance with Section A-VI / 1 of the STCW Convention and meet the relevant standard of competence specified in this section.
Seafarers qualified in initial training in accordance with STCW Section A-VI / 1, paragraph 2, must provide evidence that, in the preceding five years, they have maintained the required standard of competence to enable them to assume the tasks, responsibilities and the responsibilities listed in column 1 of tables A-VI / 1-1 and A-VI / 1-2 of the STCW Code.
