Program description
The program is designed to train navigators in maneuvering and managing large-tonnage vessels in various navigation conditions in order to ensure the safety of navigation.
The work program implements the requirements of sections A-II / 2 and B-V / a of the MK STCW-78 Code, as amended, for the training of boatmasters in maneuvering and managing large-tonnage vessels in any navigation conditions
Input Requirements
- Each candidate for the certificate “Maneuvering and handling large-tonnage vessels” must have a navigator’s diploma, as well as successfully pass the entrance test
Purpose : formation of students’ practical skills of navigators in maneuvering and managing large-tonnage vessels in any navigation conditions required by MK STCW 78
Trainee category : Masters, chief mates, officers in charge of the navigational watch, pilots who have experience in practical maneuvering and ship control, as well as during a long break in work in their specialty
